Upon entering my 20s, I've lost more than my fair share of friends to drug addiction and depression. On top of this, family members and loved ones inevitably passed on from this life as I have grown into my own phase of adulthood. I wrote this song to acknowledge my adversity and the scramble for stability that I experienced as the many threads of my life began to unravel before me. Acceptance and acknowledgement helped me to move on from these challenges; to put them over my shoulder.
